Private journeys in Sri Lanka
Ancient cities, cool tea country and the southern coast, all within a short flight of South India.
Sri Lanka
An island of many landscapes
Sri Lanka packs a great deal into a small island. In the north of the interior sit the ancient cities of the Cultural Triangle and the rock fortress of Sigiriya. Kandy, in the hills, guards the Temple of the Tooth, and above it the tea estates roll on towards Nuwara Eliya.
The journey usually ends on the south coast, around the old fort town of Galle, with time to rest at hotels such as Amanwella, Cape Weligama or Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle. We plan the route and the drives so that each day has room to breathe.

Questions
Travelling in Sri Lanka
How long do we need in Sri Lanka?
Eight to ten nights covers the Cultural Triangle, Kandy, tea country and a few days on the south coast without rushing.
When is the best time to visit?
December to April suits the west and south coasts and the hill country. The east coast is at its best from May to September.
Can we combine Sri Lanka with India?
Yes. Colombo is a short flight from South India, so Sri Lanka follows Kerala naturally.
