This Ladakh tour pairs the high Himalaya with the palaces of Rajasthan in ten days. You spend time among the monasteries and valleys around Leh, then fly south to Jaipur. The route
Your route
You fly from Delhi to Leh and spend four days in Ladakh, then fly via Delhi to Jaipur, and back to Delhi for the final days.

Day 1 Arrive in Delhi
You are met at the airport and driven to your hotel to rest.
Overnight: Taj Palace, New Delhi
Day 2 Delhi to Leh
Fly to Leh, at around 3,500 metres. The rest of the day is for resting and adjusting to the altitude.
Overnight: The Grand Dragon Ladakh, Leh
Day 3 Leh and the Indus valley
Visit the great Buddha at Shey and the monasteries of Thiksey and Hemis. Later, Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace.

Day 4 Likir and Lamayuru
West along the valley, past Magnetic Hill, to the monasteries of Likir and Lamayuru, returning to Leh in the evening.

Day 5 Khardung La
Drive up to Khardung La pass for the views across the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges, then back to Leh.

Day 6 Leh to Jaipur
Fly to Delhi and connect to Jaipur. A quiet afternoon after the two flights.

Day 7 Jaipur
Amber Fort, the City Palace and Jaipur’s bazaars with your guide.
Overnight: Rambagh Palace, Jaipur
Day 8 Jaipur to Delhi
Visit the Birla Mandir and the Govind Dev Ji temple, then fly back to Delhi.
Overnight: Taj Palace, New Delhi
Day 9 Delhi
The Red Fort and Jama Masjid, ending with a guided food walk through Chandni Chowk.
Overnight: Taj Palace, New Delhi
Day 10 Depart Delhi
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Is the altitude a concern?
Leh is at around 3,500 metres, so the first day is kept free to rest. Most people adjust within a day or two. If you have a heart or breathing condition, please speak to your doctor before booking.
When can we travel?
May to September is the season for Ladakh. Rajasthan is hot at this time, so we plan sightseeing in Jaipur for the mornings and evenings.
Can this journey run in winter?
Ladakh is very cold in winter and the high passes may close. For travel between October and March, we suggest Rajasthan with Nepal or Bhutan instead.
Are the flights included?
The domestic flights are part of the journey. We confirm the timings and baggage allowance in your quote.
